Health Code / Life Code
Health and Life Code are projects that Barcode offers in partnership with North Somerset Youth Services that are designed to help build young people's skills and understanding in relation to their health, well-being and life choices. Sessions run regularly to grow young people's understanding of the dangers of smoking, drink and drugs. There is also a regular No Worries Clinic on Fridays (for more information please call) which provides support and advice for young people in relation to sexual health.
Head Space
HeadSpace is a library space based at Barcode Youth
Café in Weston-super-Mare for young people aged 11-18 years
old.
HeadSpace was designed by young people for young people - the
books were chosen by its users and young people help run the
library.
HeadSpace
at Barcode has:
- Two library computers with internet access and office software
- a selection of fiction and non-fiction books chosen by the young people at Barcode.
- Barcode's other facilities - play pool, watch TV or have some refreshments.
- A headspace activities group ( Thursdays 6-7 pm )
HeadSpace is a brand new idea for a library service for young
people and we are looking for 11-18 years old volunteers to help
run it.

HeadSpace is part of a national project. There are currently
nineteen HeadSpace sites which are up and running of that number
HeadSpace at Barcode is one of only two which are not in a
