Thank you for choosing the Blakehay Theatre we hope that you will find your visit both a pleasant and successful one.The Blakehay Theatre is a community theatre in the centre of Weston-super-Mare. At all levels the Blakehay Theatre aims to offer a high quality, friendly and diverse arts experience to all its attendees and staff. The Blakehay theatre is owned and run by the Weston Town Council.
The venue has recently undergone a refurbishment project that has included the new Jill Dando Cafe & Theatre Bar, new Box Office, theatre lighting, toilet facilities, external lighting and signage and a new roof.

The Blakehay Theatre operates as being a live events venue programming local and regional theatre, music and dance.
The Blakehay Actors Company runs a popular drama company with weekly meetings. The venue is also home to the RAFA concert band and Weston College Performing Arts department. Please see our regular hirers page for more information.
Situated next to Grove Park, the Blakehay Theatre is an excellent place to visit during the day or evening to be entertained, educated or even just to get a good cup of coffee!
AUDITORIUM

The Blakehay Theatre has a 199 fixed seat auditorium in theatre style with the stage at ground level. The seating is not numbered and all shows are ticketed on a system of sit where you would like on the day.
The theatre does not have lift access so please note that there are stairs into the auditorium. Our Auditorium provides one level access for the disabled and has provsion for four wheelchairs. Although please note that people requesting a wheelchair space are asked to contact the theatre to request this in advance.
The seating is raked and each has a great view of the stage. The seats although bought second hand from the Wolverhampton Grand have been re-upholstered and they replaced the original seats which dated back to the second World War.
UPPER STUDIO

The Blakehay Theatre's attractive Upper Studio is a private space with views across Grove Park.
Please note that the studio is located on the first floor and has limited access.
JILL DANDO CAFE/BAR

The Jill Dando Cafe/Bar has recently undergone major refurbishment. It is run by the Brandon Trust as a Cafe Monday to Friday and a Theatre Bar during events and performances. Please see our Jill Dando Cafe/Bar page.
