Hiring The Blakehay

The Blakehay Theatre has a 199 fixed seat auditorium in theatre style with the stage at ground level. There are also two large dressing rooms, one is at stage level and small green room facilities.
The seating is raked and each has a great view of the stage. The space is ideal to hire for live events, training seminars and conferences. Please see our technical specifications for our in-house lighting and sound equipment (coming soon!).
UPPER STUDIO

The Blakehay Theatre's attractive Upper Studio can accommodate up to 50 people theatre style or in the round for meetings and small scale seminars. It is a private space with views across the Grove Park.
The Studio has a beautiful wood floor that is ideal as a space for rehersals, classes, Children's birthday parties and is currently the main rehearsal room for the RAFA Concert Band.
There is a variety of equipment available as part of any hire including a flip chart and TV/Video Combi. Please note that the studio is located on the first floor and has limited access.
JILL DANDO CAFE/BAR
The Jill Dando Cafe/Bar has recently undergone major refurbishment and can accommodate up to 70 people. It is run by the Brandon Trust as a Cafe Monday to Friday and a Theatre Bar during events and performances. Please see our Jill Dando Cafe/Bar page.
The Jill Dando Cafe/Bar is available for hire during the evenings and some weekends. This room is perfect for meetings with access into our small courtyard. There is a variety of equipment available as part of any hire including a projector screen and TV/Video Combi.
HOW TO HIRE THE BLAKEHAY THEATRE
First step If you wish to hire the Blakehay for an event is to download the booking form/price list. Please read our Terms and Conditions of Hire and our Payment structure carefully as any booking will comply to these conditions.
Once we receive the booking form we will check the dates are free. This can also be done over the counter, we are open mornings Monday through Friday. You can also contact us by e-mail blakehay@wsm-tc.gov.uk
Once we have an agreement on the dates and times we will send you an official booking form.
