The Blakehay Actors Company
The Blakehay Actors Company are the resident company for The Blakehay Theatre and rehearse every Tuesday Evening in our Auditorium.

The Comedy Box
In association with The Blakehay Theatre the Comedy Box presents: Stand Up at The Blakehay. BRAND NEW Monthly comedy at The Blakehay Theatre. With success at the Hen & Chicken and Tobacco Factory in Bristol, the Comedy Box are expanding into Weston-super-Mare at The Blakehay Theatre. Bringing the best in UK Stand-Up to the people of Weston-super-Mare!

WAPA - Wessex Academy of Performing Arts (Weston College)
The Wessex Academy of Performing Arts has been established to reflect the commitment we have made to provide quality performing arts education. Our aim is to give you an experience second to none, with well resourced facilities driven by professional practitioners and prepare you for a place in an ever evolving and demanding industry.

RAFA - Royal Air Forces Association Concert Band
2011 has been another diverse and busy year for the RAFA Concert Band and ended with a traditional Christmas Concert in our ancestral home at the Blakehay, Weston-super-Mare. It was nice to see another Full House! Plenty of ding, dong, Ho, Ho, Ho & Christmas cheer!

The RAFA concert band is the Blakehay Resident Band and rehearses every Monday Evening in our Upper Studio. With a busy programme of events around the country as well as regular concerts at the Blakehay Theatre the band are very popular. TENONS - The Environmental Network Of North Somerset
The Environmental Network Of North Somerset is a networking group, with the purpose of raising levels of awareness of environmental issues in our area. With regular open meetings we aim to enthuse and empower local residents, community and charitable groups, and organisations to live more sustainable lives and protect the environment by identifying solutions and delivering change.
TENONS meet regularly on a Wednesday Evening in the Lower Studio/ Cafe at the theatre. Their meetings are £2.00 for non-members. Please look at our What's On page for information of their meeting dates or visit their website at www.tenons.org.uk
Academy of Dramatic Arts (ADA)
New drama school with a difference. For 8-18 year olds - three hours of expert tuition (entry by audition). For 4 to 7 year olds - an hour and a half for an introduction to performing arts.
Learning skills and creativity in a safe, fun enviroment. Learn the art of acting, mime and directing. How to sing, uses of music and music directing. How to dance and choreographic skills. Learn theatre, film, camera, performance art technicques. Costume and make-up design and how it affects performance. Learn about lighting and sound.

Other hirers
Many local groups use the Blakehay to perform anything from childrens dance to semi-professional musicals. We have a rich variety of other events including French and Spanish students classes in the summer, children's puppet shows, community groups meetings, Clairvoyant shows, lectures, etc.
