In association with The Blakehay Theatre, directly from Bristol, The Comedy Box presents 'Stand Up at The Blakehay' in Weston-super-Mare.
Set to take to the stage at The Blakehay Theatre, with the first night of a brand new monthly comedy venue in the heart of Weston-super-Mare's central Grove Village district on Thursday 9th February.

John Robins
Charming, generous and honest company, Bristol's effortlessly entertaining comic John Robins hosts the opening night of this brand new comedy venue in Weston. He has hosted many shows over the last few years at The Comedy Box in Bristol and on many occasions he has been the star of the night with his easy-going, whimsical manner which has won him many fans. Expect John to intimately explore subjects past, present and in the future in his now familiar disarmingly hilarious style that he has made his own.

Town Mayor's Charity Ball

Winter Gardens, Weston-super-Mare.
Weston's Town Mayor & Mayoress, Councillor Cyril King & Mrs Sue King will be hosting this Year's Annual Mayor's Charity Ball, at the Winter Gardens, on Saturday 17th March 2012.
The Ball starts at 6.45 p.m. with a drinks reception in the Prince Consort Hall, followed by a 4 course dinner and live music by Spectrum Party Band, ending at 1 a.m.
During the evening there will also be an Auction and Draw, which is a valuable source of fundraising in aid of Local Charities, Voluntary Organisations & Community Groups. Businesses and individuals are invited to donate prizes for the Auction & Draw which can be delivered to Grove House, alternatively please phone 01934 632567 and collection can be arranged. As a thank you, your company name will be on the posters and around the Winter Gardens and will be named in the programme.

Weston-super-Mare Town Council
Established in 2000, Weston-super-Mare Town Council is based at Grove House, also known as the Mayor's Parlour.
Grove House and Park was given to the Borough Council in 1952 on the death of Cecil Smyth-Pigott for the benefit of the residents of Weston-super-Mare.
Weston-super-Mare Town Council is the 'parish' council for the town. It has 31 Councillors who take no allowance and is the only democratically elected body that exclusively represents the people of Weston-super-Mare.
