Milton Road Cemetery Chapel

The Chapel at Milton Road Cemetery was repaired and re-opened in November 2010 with help from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Educational material, exhibitions and an audio tour of the historic cemetery have been created with the funding.

The Chapel, with the voluntary "Friends of Milton Road Cemetery", will be open every 2nd Saturday of each month between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

The exhibition currently showing is the photographic exhibition by Worle Community School during their enrichment week in June 2010.The photographs enrich the interior of the Chapel and add certain ambience. The images provided by the children show their take on the Cemetery and its surroundings.

The first date the Chapel opened to the public was Saturday 12th February and was visited my a number of people, the next date for the Chapel to be opened will be 14th May between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. Pat Hase from the Family History Society will be presenting a talk on the Victorian way of death. The tlak will start at 2.30pm.
