The Town Mayor's three chosen charities 2011-2012 

1. Chaplaincy About Town (ChAt) is a charity, set up by local Christians, to provide a friendly listening ear to businesses, employees, shoppers and anyone who frequents the Weston-super-Mare town centre.   www.westonchat.org.uk

2. Great Western Air Ambulance provides a vital air ambulance service for the people of Bristol, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. Based at Filton Airport, it operates seven days a week and attends around 60 incidents a month. As a charity, it relies entirely on voluntary donations.   www.greatwesternairambulance.com

3. The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. It provides, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service and a seasonal lifeguard service.   www.rnli.org.uk
